The Pennington
MAIN INN
2ND FLR KING & FULL 2 BEDROOM SUITE | GAS STOVE
This two-bedroom suite, sandwiching a darling living room and cozy kitchen, is named for owner and chef Kirby’s maternal grandfather, Paul Pennington Hearn. He was a Georgia boy, who as a youngster, burned down one of his father’s cotton fields playing with matches. Paul turned it around quickly though, aspiring to become a doctor from the age of six... and he did! As a young doctor in WWII, he was stationed in the same base with Clarke Gable. With his dark hair and similar looks people often mistook him for Clark.
A corner room on the second floor, just above our dining room, it seemed like the perfect spot to name for a man who rose so inspirationally from the spanking of a lifetime to go onto achieve such wonderful things for himself, his family and his country. With that in mind, we invite you to the Pennington Suite to sit back and let life unfold.
This second-floor two-room suite is one of 7 rooms located in our historic Hudson boarding house. All Main Inn rooms feature a mini-bar, Tivoli Radio, Keurig Coffee maker, Flat Screen SmartTV.
