Named for owner Kristan’s maternal grandmother, this escape on our third floor is a stronghold of memories and love, with a view of the river to boot.

Irish to her core, Margaret Donohue Murphy was a strong and steadfast scion of the teenager who left the West of Ireland to find family and create community in Baltimore, Maryland. She embodied the prim and proper second generation that did not forget how to have fun and celebrate their heritage. A dedicated career woman who valued her community volunteer involvement as passionately as her work.

A proud member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Margaret was named Hibernian of the Year and asked to serve as deputy marshal of Baltimore's St. Patrick's Day Parade. A beautiful tribute to a woman who could not have been more proud to lead the city she loved in celebration of her heritage. That positive spirit of connecting and keeping our roots strong inspired this room, named in her honor.
