The James Louis is named for owner Kristan’s maternal grandfather. He was a tried-and-true Irishman, smoked a pipe, drove a killer green 1970s Volvo, wore a lot of plaid and always had an eye for detail and design. His love of his grandchildren and a good Scotch celebrated his devotion to faith, family, and the good life. James Louis should have lived long enough to enjoy, and for that matter critique, the proper drinking culture of the Barroom at Wm. Farmer and Sons.

He taught Kristan how to play trains one sunny afternoon, a memory she now describes as one of her fondest. That kind of memory you can access and find yourself transported right back. What magic! This room, with the coziest of nooks on our 3rd floor, proudly bears his name and is dedicated to those lovely, indelible memories in life.
